Dr. Ron J. Llewelyn
I am a Clinical Psychologist licensed in the State of Utah. Throughout my career, I have had the unparalleled privilege of working with, and helping several wonderful people; many of whom have been hurt by another person. This same privilege has helped me foster a deeper understanding regarding the nature of trauma, attachment, personality, dissociation and depression. These are my areas of interest and are at the core of my expertise.
It has been a pleasure to work with some of the most esteemed clinical programs in the states of Utah and California, as well as serving as a Lead Faculty Area Chair for The University of Phoenix in their Professional Counseling Program. Furthermore, the opportunities to speak both locally and nationally on various topics such as Posttraumatic Stress Disorder and Attachment has been a true blessing. I was also honored when Dr. Gary Lawson (a worldwide expert on Substance Abuse and Psychopharmacology) asked me to write a chapter for the second edition of his widely acclaimed book, Alcoholism and Substance Abuse in Diverse Populations. Over the years, with the insight and wisdom offered by my clients, I have developed a model of therapy for chronic forms of trauma. Feel free to visit the link for Developmental Reenactment Trauma Therapy above.
Finally, it is and has been a true blessing to meet and help so many wonderful people. You are the definition of resilience. Thank you for letting me be a part of your life.

There is no single method of psychotherapy that can help every single person. Every person has their own unique experiences and complexities.
Only with this consideration, and with the input from the client, can a treatment method be adopted. With that said, above are my chosen methods and those in which I have the most training and experience.
*Developmental Reenactment Trauma Therapy is a model of trauma treatment developed by Dr. Llewelyn. The model itself has yet to undergo research to determine effectiveness. With this in mind, the model utilizes a number of evidenced based treatments as well as sound psychological treatment principles.
**Couples, Marriage and Family therapies are only available after I can evaluate the situation and determine if I can effectively assist with the problem.
