Daxton Johnson CMHC, NCC Daxton is a fully licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor and National Certified Counselor, who works with individuals seeking healing from trauma, anxiety, and deeply rooted negative beliefs that impact emotional well-being and personal growth. He received his Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Grand Canyon University in 2024 and has since helped individuals navigate complex mental health and life challenges with compassion and care. Daxton has experience supporting clients who have experienced various forms of trauma, including church-related trauma, sexual abuse, and abandonment. He also works with individuals struggling with anxiety and depression that are often rooted in negative core beliefs such as feeling unwanted, incapable, or unlovable. His therapeutic approach emphasizes meeting clients where they are and helping them develop insight and practical tools to break self-sabotaging patterns while cultivating healthier, more life-giving habits. He has worked with Living Waters Counseling and Dr. Ron Llewelyn since his master’s degree internship experience in 2023. Additionally, Daxton spent over ten years serving as a pastoral leader in his home community, providing counseling, guidance, and support to individuals, families, and couples. During this time, he also wrote and self-published a faith-based book focused on supporting individuals and couples struggling with infertility. These experiences shaped his deep appreciation for the human need for connection, meaning, and healing. He values integrating faith, psychology, and evidence-based care in a way that honors each client’s beliefs and autonomy. Daxton’s clinical areas of focus include personal growth and trauma healing through EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). These evidence-based approaches help clients build emotional regulation, increase self-awareness, strengthen resilience, and regain a sense of control over their thoughts and emotions. His goal is to help clients heal from past wounds and move forward with hope, clarity, and purpose.
